I cannot get 100 points in Amatz Basin.
Any help? Yes, I searched the forums. All the posts are prior to the recent nerfs. |

Combined with decent flagging, you could probably accomplish this using Discord heroes.

Prot hench, heal hench, mesmer, ele (argo) EDIT: Cap one shrine, flag heroes to other shrine and let them hold while you hold with hench. wait it out with 2 shrines capped. ^I think you're talking about Zos Shivros Channel. Amatz is the one where you need to save Kurzick Refugees from wardens.
I haven't been able to get 100 points with H/H either. Last edited by TheGuildWarsPenguin; Apr 26, 2010 at 06:00 AM // 06:00.. Reason: edit |

But on topic: I think with cleverly positioned spirits you can save a lot of refugees. Need to be lucky to reach 100 points though. Concentrating your firepower on one side may help, too. |

Most i've managed is 76 with H/H, I guess I could get over 100 if someone took the middle while I took the right or something*. But tbh theres more fun things to do than that & it only raises Kurzick Faction limit by 1k which I can live without.
*As far as I know very few (if any) refugees come from the left side. Last edited by Zebideedee; Apr 26, 2010 at 11:14 AM // 11:14.. |

The easiest way is to tank it. Take one path, put your heroes (I recommend sabway and whatever heal/support henches there are) on another path.
You tank the one path and draw as many as you can (helps if you can kill a few yourself, cause even if they can't kill you they end up building up and bodyblocking the refugees). The other path you leave your H/H. If you've set up your heroes right, they should be able to hold and kill their side without you microing them at all. Course if you like micro, and can manage to do yourself and a hero at the same time, you can set up one hero to tank the third path and get done quicker. If you can get an actual other human to come with you should be child's play. They tank one, you tank one and the 6 heroes hold one. |

What do I use to tank? I just tried with a defy/dolyak tank, using fall back to help the guys run, but had problems healing with the warden of spirits crying me(they have shatter too). With most casters seem like you'd get bounced by dev hammer too. I'm thinking I take an obsidian flesh tank, but put on dwarf stability(i got like 5 kegs)
Thing is though, they still would break off and chase the refugees, and the center mobs would eventually get pulled onto the exit teleporter thing, making it futile...(I was tanking the left, it seemed like only a few came at first then later groups of 3-4). The right path seems easiest for the heroes to secure, they cannot handle the central mobs... Gonna try the obs flesh thing I guess... |

Has anyone actually tried this after the recent Hammer and Tactics buffs? Those refugees die extremely fast.

Haven't played this for ages, so hammer buffs may have made this more difficult. As for tanking, obsidiflesh or SF would likely be the easiest. If you really want to go defy pain get a monk (human or hero) to bond you up and that should be pretty easy as well.
